My favorite little picture. Here are the strawberries I
have picked this evening alone.
I have had to pick a colander full each and every night this
week. We have already given some to the neighbors
and of course we have enjoyed strawberry shortcake.
I suppose, more jam is in our near future.
The strawberries are popping up from every where.
Here soon, we will be thinning out our plants
and trying to place some in the bald areas.
A shot of one of our tomato plants.
This year, I have high hopes of canning
a variety of things from just tomatoes and salsa
to our own vegetable soup and maybe marinara.
Here is a partial view of our garden.
We planted about 45 tomato plants yesterday evening
after a neighbor came and plowed it for us.
We also planted about 36 pepper plants of a few
different varieties.
Then you can't forget our attempt
at watermelon, pumpkin, cantaloupe,
corn and peas. We have more to come later.
We hope to set up a box garden for the kids to enjoy
and upkeep.
Here is that lone tiny plum on our tree. I had
thought the kids picked it, but we found it again
the other day. It is still there in all its cuteness.
Can you see all the apples here?
Larry Denzil is thrilled to death. If all goes well,
we will have a couple dozen apples to enjoy.
Here is a picture of one of our puny fruit trees.
Remember, we planted them 3 years ago.
Here is the lovely Ruby Isabella snoozing on such
a beautiful, warm, spring afternoon.
What a wonderful thing to do after a hard day's work.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous memorial day weekend.

Otherwise, I am loving the garden, we really need to plant some fruit trees!
I cant believe you planted though. Have we really changed that much?
