Our Vacation!?!? Part 1

Well, what a few really emotional weeks we have had.  On June 15, Larry Denzil went on the much anticipated scout camp outing with the Hurt clan and the Ashland boys.  He was so excited. I was left at  Mamaw's house with all the kids.  That sunday, we celebrated Nate's birthday.  Here are some of the pictures that I was suppose to share with JoJuan.

On Monday morning, we both woke up with that ill fated stomach virus that everyone seemed to have a few weeks before.  I had my illness at Mamaw's house while LarryDenzil was stuck in a tent in 100 degree weather.  And I think he got the worse end of the illness from what I hear.  Let's just say he was having great difficulty maneuvering a zipper with one hand on a favorite uncle's tent and may have vomited all over the wall of that tent.  Luckily this was a short lived virus.  Unfortunately for me, I was just the beginning.  I was sick monday.  Then tuesday night Ethan got sick and early wednesday Savannah was ill.  Then wednesday evening it was little Larry's turn and by early thursday morning Xander had gotten sick.  I told Larry Denzil I was going to bed at midnight cleaning up vomit and waking up in the morning having to clean up more vomit.  I do not know what it was about this virus, but for some reason not one of my kids could make it to the toilet.  Fun for me.
The kids and I did get to enjoy Ashland a little.  On Wednesday, we went to Hope's baby shower.  A few more family members were able to show up and we had great fun.  Unfortunately for Jason, he was the odd man out and got to watch all the kids.

Oh, great pictures. I was sad we didn't get to see Benny's baby so thanks for the pictures!

(And sorry about the virus - it was a bad but short lived one). I can't tell you how much laundry we had to do. Yuck.

Girls Camp

This year, Savannah got to attend her very first girls camp. Here she is with Morgan, another first timer.  Not sure how Savannah would have done without Sister Skroski. She showed Savannah the ropes and really took care of her in my absence.  Savannah all excited to leave. I can only guess what these last few pictures are. Savannah had a great time and Larry was there as a priesthood chaperone so she was not completely alone. This summer was a summer of firsts for my girl. She had her first girls camp, her first youth Temple trip and her first talk in sacrament. Wow!

12 Wonderful Years

Saturday was mine and Larry's 12 year anniversary.  We enjoyed an absolute wonderful weekend together.  Larry was able to get off work friday at a decent time and did not have to go in on saturday.  And on Sunday, he did not have the early morning church meetings, so we were able to drive together.  As a matter of fact, we were able to enjoy a beautiful Christmas cantata on a gorgeous Sabbath morning. Friday evening we enjoyed  Don't ask me how I talked Larry Denzil into this, but I did and I enjoyed every minute of it. This was such a happy, girlie movie and I truly did enjoy every moment of it.  I love musicals and especially love music of the 70's.  I could remember so many of the songs as if they were new.  Listening to them in my dad's '73 camaro as he picked me up from the day care. Wow, how time flies. On saturday, I enjoyed breakfast that Larry prepared with the kids.  It was so nice to not have to cook.  Notice I did not say clean.  He did leave the mess fo
