Back to Blogging

Well, I have taken a very long 4 months off from blogging
and will now have to pay the price.
I have so much catch up to do.
So here goes.....

Yesterday was the kids 1st day of school.
I teased that that was me you heard singing
Hallelujah in WNC.

Ethan starts the 1st grade with Mrs. Howie.
She was Larry's 1st grade teacher 3 years ago.

Xander has a very young teacher named Mr. Higgins.
He is in his last year at BMP as a 3rd grader.
And the big news is Xander wants to
go by Christian at school. He doesn't
yet know how to spell his 1st name, but luckily
it is pasted on his desk.

Larry got the teacher he prayed for all summer,
Mr Griffin. This guy is the coveted 4th grade
teacher because of all his pets (frogs, turtles, snakes, and lizards)
throughout the classroom.

And Miss Savannah got Mrs. Helm for 5th.
She was Teacher of the Year last year so we are very
pleased.

My Three Stooges

This was not so difficult. Look for another update tomorrow.
Hope you all have had a wonderful Back to School
Experience like we have.

Hey! Wish we could have seen your kids in person, but the pics will have to suffice! Pretty darn cute kids!

Love,
Brysha
So - we both only have one kid at home now - little girls who know they are adorable!? I feel she has lost playmates - and she's the most difiant of my kids - so it will be interesting for me. (: So will you call him Xander at home??? I'm glad Larry got his prayers answered the way he wanted! I got a new computer - so I am not subscribed to your blog yet on this one - I just tried and it did something weird and didn't work . . oh well. (: Cute kids!

Apple Festival

OK,  I was too excited to wait on this new post.  We went to the Hendersonville Apple Festival this afternoon.  We have lived here 2 years and this was our first time going.  It was fun.  People had their crafts for sale and of course, lots of apples.  Anyways, center stage, a band was performing old rock n roll music.  We stopped to take a break and enjoy ice cream.  While sitting there, a square dancer asked Larry Denzil to be her partner in the square dancing routine.  Talk about a laugh, I hope you guys enjoy the pictures.  Did I forget to mention that the Hurts were in for a visit? Ok, here is Larry Denzil having a great time square dancing. I think he has found his true calling. Here is little Larry relaxing during the bands gig. Here is Larry Denzil and the little old lady who asked him to be her partner.  Poor thing, I do not think she read the back of his shirt.  He had the number  7 and at the top it said Baby Maker.  This was his work soft ball shirt. He is actually enjoying...

What on Earth!? How can you not stop and smile?

This morning I woke up and felt really good and energized. I was just ready to start the day. I had a little fun on the wii fit at 5:30Am before waking the kids.   A Valentine's gift from a dear husband.  I love video games and well, you might as well exercise while playing. Afterwards, I started with my chores.  Just trying to tackle  one room at a time.  The first room I cleaned was the children's living room.  Why did I choose this room? I knew Ethan & Ruby would play and watch TV, but I had no idea they would do this!? Here is a darling Ruby Isabella exhausted and asleep after her mayhem and destruction. Yes, that is toilet paper all over the floor. An entire roll they managed to toss all over the living room. They also got a hold of the baby bath and made some bubbles in  the boys bedroom, and got a hold of the lotion and squirted it all over  the footboard on my bed.  Where am I during all this? Feeling really good because I had washed, dried, and folded 4 loads of la...

Scary Moment

Last night we had a bit of a scare in our house.  I was making dinner for the missionaries.  No my dinner was not scary!  I was making a pre-holiday meal, ham and the whole nine yards.  I had purchased fresh cranberries to make cranberry sauce.  Larry and I do not like cranberries but all of my kids do.  Ruby was anxiously waiting to eat and was dancing around in our small busy kitchen trying to help me.  To scoot her along, I gave her a fresh cranberry to nibble on. Less than 5 minutes later she began crying.  Larry had just gotten home so I thought she just wanted him to pick her up.  He did and she kept crying and holding her mouth.  He thought maybe she was teething, but those pesky 2 year molars came early.  I was stressed making the meal, I did not have time for tears.  But Larry would not stop crying about Ruby.  Just kidding. He was freaking out and her crying was uncontrollable so I checked on her.  Her lower lip had completely swollen up.  This was our first experience with a...
