Ginger Bread Houses

Last saturday we took the kids over to the Grove Park Inn to see all the Gingerbread houses on display.  Little did we know, it was such a popular thing to do.  There were people and kids all over the place taking photos.  And a lot of people were wearing really nice clothing.  I know where we are doing our Christmas pictures next year.

Here are the kids enjoying a sleigh ride.  Just
one of many props set up for photo opts.  Wish
I had known.  I would have put cuter clothes
on the kids.
(Ruby had those sunglasses on
nearly the entire time!)

Doesn't Savannah look like gloom and doom.
This was the last group photo we took.
She acts like it was an all day affair!

Xander insisted on having his photo
in front of this gorgeously TALL tree.
Back up people.  He wants the WHOLE
TREE in the shot.

Too cute to pass up.  Ethan shining his Daddy's
sneakers.

Savannah took this goof ball shot.
Not bad.  She could have used a better model.

This was my favorite ginger bread house, Err
carousel.  I can't believe people can be
so creative with food.

Very cute little bird houses.

One of my boys' favorite.
They are all about the castles.

Look at those 100 calorie oreos.
MMMMMMMM!!

Xander was quite disappointed that there was
not a single house available for us to eat.

You guys do the funnest things. My kids would have loved that. I'm so impressed that you the energy (and, dare I say nerve?) to take your kids to these things. I love holiday outings!!
That's crazy! Those houses are unbelievable!!! By the way, wish I could be there to have cute Christmas pictures too...great idea. Much better than my Christmas pictures this year. Love the sled!

Oh those look so good. I would have been disappointed I couldn't eat them, too.

Girls Camp

This year, Savannah got to attend her very first girls camp. Here she is with Morgan, another first timer.  Not sure how Savannah would have done without Sister Skroski. She showed Savannah the ropes and really took care of her in my absence.  Savannah all excited to leave. I can only guess what these last few pictures are. Savannah had a great time and Larry was there as a priesthood chaperone so she was not completely alone. This summer was a summer of firsts for my girl. She had her first girls camp, her first youth Temple trip and her first talk in sacrament. Wow!

12 Wonderful Years

Saturday was mine and Larry's 12 year anniversary.  We enjoyed an absolute wonderful weekend together.  Larry was able to get off work friday at a decent time and did not have to go in on saturday.  And on Sunday, he did not have the early morning church meetings, so we were able to drive together.  As a matter of fact, we were able to enjoy a beautiful Christmas cantata on a gorgeous Sabbath morning. Friday evening we enjoyed  Don't ask me how I talked Larry Denzil into this, but I did and I enjoyed every minute of it. This was such a happy, girlie movie and I truly did enjoy every moment of it.  I love musicals and especially love music of the 70's.  I could remember so many of the songs as if they were new.  Listening to them in my dad's '73 camaro as he picked me up from the day care. Wow, how time flies. On saturday, I enjoyed breakfast that Larry prepared with the kids.  It was so nice to not have to cook.  Notice I did not say clean.  He did leave the mess fo
